Happy New Year to everyone! 2007 is year to set some goals and go after them!! I know I am. My goals for this year are to get healthy once and for all. I have already started physical therapy to help re-build strength in my bi-cep. As you all know I had surgery last year almost to the date. My bi-cep tendon was almost removed from the bone. So now, I have to re-build that strength by going to physical therapy. I am playing well these days but after a long session I get real soar. I am determined to get stronger everyday! Last week I received a shot of codisone in my tail bone-ouch! I would not wish that pain on anyone, including on my arc-rivals-!! But with all of this in the long run I should be in full throttled mission to get my ranking back in the top-16!
On New Years Eve I spent most of the night at my sponsors The Wynkoop Brewing Company performing challenge matches with the patrons. Towards mid-night it got a little crazy so I went home and on the way home watched the awesome fireworks presentation at Coor's Field.
This last week I had a exhibition for the Colorado Woman's Chamber of Commerce at the Denver Athletic Club- The night was filled with lots of pool playing. About 40 people stopped in and we had a 16 player tournament. Race to one, single elimination. The top two winners Melissa (Not me) and Rochelle received gift cards thanks to Brunswick Home & Billiard located here in Colorado. They all had a blast and played really well for not playing all the time like us regulars!! I was very proud of everyone that participated. Thanks everyone!!
